The work was designed for large areas that would put a distinctive stamp on commercial spaces and designer homes.
The large scale domestic pieces are strangely peculiar and familiar. They take on human characteristics and invigorate the viewer with their lively dancing stances. The works create a comfort zone by their association with the everyday while simultaneously energizing with their verve.
Conversely, the unique sculptural vessel forms speak of contemplation. The mark making on the vessels suggest the etching of natural forces sitting side by side with man made marks; a complimentary balance. The vessels imply a spiritual containment; the invisible matter that is the core of existence.
Two figurative sculptures take the viewer back to both childhood and adolescence with a surreal poetic journey with The Owl and The Pussycat’s ‘Adventures in a Pea Green Boat’.
