Artist Profile

Sue Teaches ceramics part time at Newcastle Art School (TAFE) and The University of Newcastle.

Sue is the current President of Newcastle Studio Potters Inc., a cooperative with a membership of around 100 members. She was the first Gallery manager when the group opened their gallery in 1992.

She has exhibited extensively in Newcastle, the Hunter area and in Sydney. Her work is in the collections of Newcastle Region Art Gallery, The University of Newcastle, The Bowmore Collection, Melbourne Fine Art Gallery plus many private collections.

Sue has been an active member of the Newcastle art scene over the past 15 years and has been involved in setting up the Hunter Artists Network, sitting on the Newcastle Public Art Advisory Board, reviewing art on local ABC radio.
